The #HappySound of Rings for Dhwani & Harsh!
Dhwani and Harsh left no stone unturned and no hashtag unexplored when it came to planning their perfect engagement on March 3, 2018. From the stunning setup at the Hyatt Regency Ballroom to the evocative video invites and customized cake, everything was a result of their dreams and perfect planning coming together.
How We Met
Dhwani shares,“Our engagement video and e-invitations included cute illustrations and rhyming text. The words came straights from our hearts and described our story. We wanted people to know that even if our marriage was an arranged one, we still had a charming story to tell.”
The couple made sure they planned every aspect of their engagement carefully. Dhwani shares, “We tried all sorts of combinations to pick a unique hashtag for the event. We tried the clichéd option of joining both our names and came up with #Dhwarsh or #HaDhKarDi. We also tried the funny approach which resulted in #LifeInHD. But in the end, we knew we wanted something truly awesome. That’s when my sister Drishti came up with #HappySound. ‘Harsh’ means happy, and ‘Dhwani’ means sound. And that’s exactly what our lives have been since then – nothing short of #HappySound all around.”
Harsh and Dhwani even had tambourines printed with their unique hashtag and these were created by Six Folds. Young and old loved ones and guests let loose and enjoyed as they played their tambourines along with the beats of the DJ, thus creating and relishing a #HappySound atmosphere.
“I was clear that even though a lehenga fit the picture of our fusion (traditional as well as modern) engagement vibe, I wanted my outfit to be a bit different from the typical designs. I also had a fixed budget for this ensemble as I knew it was not something I would wear again anytime soon. So I wanted the lehenga to be a dreamy yet practical one. So I decided to get mine customized because the readymade ones tend to have repetitive designs sometimes.”
Dhwani’s outfit was designed to her liking by her trusted fashion designer, Hinal. With delicate zardozi, french knotwork and glittering tassels, Dhwani looked like a glamorous princess in her pastel blue lehenga. The uncut diamond set and earrings accentuated her natural beauty. Wearing a darker shade Bandhgala ensemble of the same color, Harsh carried off his look with aplomb and looked like royalty. The pocket pin by Shantanu & Nikhil added just the right touch of glamour and elegance to his look.
The delighted bride shares, “The excitement levels at our engagement was amazing, and everyone was involved in some way or the other! I can’t wait to see how the wedding will be. Our wedding-related days are all about us and our loved ones, and we can’t wait for the rest of the story to unfold.”
After such a fun engagement, team WeddingSutra can’t wait for the wedding either!
