The wedding and beauty industries have shared always shared a close link with each other and to welcome India’s newest makeup and beauty platform 25O2, WeddingSutra hosted the WeddingSutra Engage The Beauty Event X 25O2 on September 25, 2018. The exciting event was held in association with Blue Sea Banquets as wells as The Wedding Junction. Attendees included some of the top makeup artists and beauty experts in the industry such as Ojas Rajani, Vipul Bhagat, Bianca Louzado, Amrita Kalyanpur, Shamlee Bhagat and Gurpreet Ghura.

Home to the largest audience of to-be-weds in India WeddingSutra has been shaping and showcasing the various facets of the wedding industry for over 17 years and been a guiding force behind many firsts in this arena. Therefore it was only fitting that the brand introduced 25O2, the first social shopping marketplace for Indian shoppers, to the industry and some of its top makeup artists. Founded by Hina Antule, 2502 offers consumers a mix of retail consumer goods centered around lifestyle, health and beauty products and works in tandem with sellers and shoppers to help arrive at a meeting point that is lucrative for each.
WeddingSutra Favorite Bhavna Bhatia was the host for the launch and she welcomed guests warmly. Three models from Eventuality Events were given looks that were perfect for a mehndi, sangeet and wedding respectively. The makeup was then decoded for the audience by Hina Antule. Her expertise as a professional makeup artist and passion for the craft made her session insightful and engaging for all present.
This was followed by an address by Parthip Thyagrajan, CEO and Co-Founder of WeddingSutra. Making the most of this afternoon dedicated to beauty, he announced the launch of the WeddingSutra Beauty Awards which is set to take place in early 2019.
To take the excitement at the event up a notch, WeddingSutra announced two contests for makeup artists to participate in. For the Makeup Trends Contest, participants were asked to create different looks inspired by the three latest makeup trends namely:
1. You Glow, Girl – which required participants to create a look using highlighter and lip gloss.
2. TG(eye)F – that was all about incorporating colored mascara and glitter lipsticks into a look.
3. Something Borrowed, Something Blue – for which participants had to include blue accents into the look.
The second competition was the Bridal Trousseau Box. Contents displayed included a variety of products under five different categories, and makeup artists had to curate the products which they felt were absolute must-haves for a bride. Both these activities filled the air with tangible enthusiasm as makeup artists participated with energy and excitement.
Pavitra and Blue Sea came forward to lay out a delectable spread for everyone in attendance and got everyone talking about their mouth-watering menu that included black charcoal buns, savory waffles, and prawn paranthas. Grover Zampa stocked the bar with the finest of wines that complemented the flavors of the gourmet fare.
