Wedding Venue
Having done a civil ceremony previously, the couple wanted to celebrate their wedding once more with all their loved ones and chose the beguiling seafront property of Taj Lands End for the same. Namha shares, “We knew we wanted to host the wedding in Mumbai itself so our grandparents could be a part of the celebration and Taj Lands End seemed like the perfect location for it. With beautiful outdoor spaces and Taj’s timeless hospitality, we knew we couldn’t pick a better option for intimate festivities. Even though we booked the venue just 15 days before due to the last-minute change, everything still fell into place seamlessly”.

Wedding Planning
“Being a wedding planner, planning your wedding may seem easy, however, the reality is far from it. Couples hire us so they can sit back and relax while we take care of the backend to ensure the wedding goes on without any hitch, so balancing the two was challenging. Initially, we felt pressured to make our wedding different, innovative, and over the top, but the process made us realize that no matter what we do, it will still be all that. Every person is different, and their personality reflects in the celebrations. We delegated a lot of work to our friends and families, while our Castles & Coasters family shouldered all the execution. Being a designer herself, my mother took over the decor scope, executing our vision to perfection and making our lives easier”, Namha shares.

“A homely, intimate vibe that celebrated every important person in our lives was what we envisioned, and we expressed that through our menu, giveaways, decor, and everything else. Symbolic of the perpetual growth in every good relationship, trees were an integral part of each function, from the Welcome Lunch in the Herb Garden to a Tree Installation in the Haldi, and more.”

The team of Knotting Bells was entrusted with the task of capturing every moment of love and festivities.

Mehndi
The mehndi soiree was a close-knit gathering of just friends and family at the bride’s home, full of delicious food, music, dancing, and drinks. It gave the bride a chance to kick back and relax with her loved ones as she got her hands painted with henna and geared up for the wedding festivities.

Haldi
The haldi ceremony was an emotional celebration of Namha’s Punjabi roots, complete with gota bangles, kaleerein, and the head cover from her mother’s wedding trousseau. The vibrant decor for the occasion was inspired by the multi-cultural life of Cyprus, with Greecian doors and Indian elements coming together in a stunning fusion.
