Love in Tokyo

Dubbed “Love in Tokyo”, the function was designed to give their guests a taste of Japan’s natural beauty and artistic heritage, popularly coveted for its ceramics, paintings on hanging scrolls, folding fans, cherry blossoms, fusuma wall decor, and much more.

Taking cues from Japan’s Gate of Heaven, the majestic entrance saw red arches decked with an abundance of white cherry blossoms to awe the guests as they walked into the hall. Once inside, they were greeted by the charming studio wall inspired by the Japanese art form Nihonga, bamboo shoots, cranes, and more. Antique memorabilia, colorful blooms, cane baskets, and painted vases completed the corner and made for an enchanting photo op. Fusuma, which are painted vertical panels commonly seen in Japanese decor and architecture, were used as a stage backdrop for the artists who performed at the occasion. A tasteful collection of ceramic jars, teapots, vintage books, Japanese show plates, wooden photo frames, small and large folding fans, and more added layers of details to the soiree for a plush, cozy feel.
