Innumerable roses, scarlet hues and dashes of gold – this close-knit home-based reception party was a spectacular celebration!

Richly adorned with red and gold hues that were accentuated by roses, Ihsan and Amal’s home-based reception in Kerala was glitzy while being intimate. Hosted at the groom’s mansion, the reception was designed by WeddingSutra Favorite – Eventia Event Designers who used their creativity to orchestrate a reception brimming with soft, modern glam.

Behind every successful event is a vision. Enhancing that vision and making it a reality is a designer’s skill that takes years to hone. But the first step towards transforming this dream into a reality is understanding the couple’s brief with complete clarity. Team Eventia Event Designers share Ihsan and Amal’s vision, “As a couple, Ihsan and Amal love everything bold and dashing. However, the reception would also be hosting some of their closest loved ones. Consequently, it fell on our shoulders to make the event alluring and welcoming at the same time. It was a night dedicated to memorable performances, heartfelt toasts and emotional moments – the glitz had to be soft instead of intimidating.

As we conversed with the couple, we realised that they ardently love red hues. We decided to incorporate the same throughout the theme along with gold that accentuated it gracefully.”

Once the design was finalised, the team started scouting for elements that would be in sync with the theme ‘La vie en rose’. The planning team shares, “The couple’s wedding in Udaipur flaunted muted, delicate hues. And, this event was a complete turnaround from their wedding theme! Since it was a celebration of new beginnings that was going to be brimming with roses, we chose to name the theme, ‘La vie en rose’.”

Giving us a detailed overview of the decor, The team shares, “To add warmth and a romantic ambience to the evening we included candlelights placed in rectangular golden frames alongside the flowers. The focal element of the event was the flower installation crafted with roses suspended over the venue. And, instead of having repetitive arrangements, we suggested using a graphical display of roses around the stage. As the event was on New Year’s Eve, a countdown was set up for it and when the clock hit midnight, fireworks were ignited to celebrate the bride and groom’s union along with the new year!”
