This grand wedding at Le Meridien Dubai was an affair of sheer opulence put together by BAQAA Glamour Weddings and Events
Destination Weddings - Jul 9, 2019
Mehak, a marketing graduate, met Mahaweer, the head of Royal Golden’s retail division through a traditional setup and both decided to trust their gut and take a leap of faith. The wedding makers who turned this union hosted at the luxurious Le Meridien Dubai, into a memorable affair are WeddingSutra Favorites – BAQAA Glamour Weddings & Events.
How They Met
Mahaweer and Mehak met through an arranged marriage setup. The groom shares, “Well, since our families are conservative, this was an arranged marriage. I spoke to Mehak over the phone a couple of times before the wedding, and the first time I met her was on the wedding day itself. You have to trust your gut at times, and at times, have to understand that your family would never choose someone wrong for you.”
BAQAA Glamour Weddings & Events turned Mahaweer and Mehak’s big day into a memorable success. BAQAA is a turnkey design and planning company that offers event design, decor, entertainment, planning, event experience, hospitality, and complete orchestration of events. For this wedding they shared impeccable and high quality 3D detailed renderings which are developed specially by BAQAA for each client. The final outcome is even more grand and breathtaking. Fatography Weddings captured the magical moments of this wedding in a film shot at the beautiful venue.
While the couple’s nuptials took place in Karachi, Pakistan, the groom chose the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club to host a soulful Sufi night. And the grand reception was hosted at Le Meridien Dubai.
Pre-Wedding Celebrations and Nuptials
Traditionally, the bride’s family decides the place of the wedding, which is why Karachi was chosen as the wedding destination with the pre-wedding celebrations taking place at the bride and groom’s ancestral homes.
Mahaweer shares, “The Sufi night took place at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club. I picked this venue since it was a party I was hosting for my friends and close family members so they could meet Mehak informally. The open-terraced venue turned out to be perfect for the evening. Shahid Shahbaz was the singer for the Sufi Night and the reception as well. The love I have for his voice and singing is way too much! My friends joked that I hosted the Sufi night just to watch Shahid perform.”
Mahaweer and Mehak’s reception was held at Le Meridien Dubai. The hotel’s 38 acres of landscaped gardens offered opulence and serenity. The property’s ability to combine modern luxury with unique splendor for premium wedding arrangements ensures that every occasion hosted there is an unforgettable affair. The groom shares, “My family had decided on this hotel since it has one of the largest ballrooms and was conveniently located not too far from the airport.” The royal floral decor was the highlight of the evening along with special dance performances that left guests entertained.
Advice to Couples
“Enjoy all the events as much as you can since these are the last few chances of the wife and you being the center of attention.”
