Wedding Planning
Sakshi had always envisioned getting married at her family home with a small yet memorable wedding celebration and roped in the team of Nazara to design and execute the decor for each of the functions. Founder of Nazara, Kriti Sharma shares her insight into the experience, “Even though the wedding was intimate and small in size, it came with its challenges of execution. Vendors across three states had to be brought into the picture to pull the decor together, as half the decor items were from Bhopal, half from Delhi, and the flowers were from Nagpur. We had to deal with some crazy, last-minute issues, including our florist backing out the day before the wedding, leading to us arranging a team from Delhi to exclusively bring the flowers on the train in 10 hours to reach on time!”

She adds, “Despite the different time zones with the couple being based in Wellington, New Zealand, we connected on video calls at all hours to design the whole wedding virtually, meeting them for the first time on the day of the wedding. Also, considering we had to create our concepts around a place as special and meaningful as her ancestral home, the experience was all the more demanding as we had to ensure everything was perfect. The kind of learning we had from this whole experience however was impeccable, and we are so grateful the couple chose us for their dream wedding”.

Wedding Functions
Mehndi
The mehndi function was a delightful confluence of purple hues, designed to transition from day to night with the utmost charm and beauty. Shades of purple with a hint of baby pink and orange painted the lawn in sunset tones. Gorgeous blooms, brought over last minute from Nagpur, filled the space with their aroma, while lamps and twinkling fairy lights lent a magical feel to the occasion. From designing personalized linen to adding love quotes in the centerpieces, the soiree was a refreshing experience for Team Nazara.

Wedding
The venue was transformed in the span of just 8 hours from a carnival of colors to an ivory fairytale for the wedding ceremony. With an ivory mandap with delicate crystal hangings, whimsical crystal birds, and a lush foliage backdrop to elegant gold chairs, and breezy white drapes, the decor was a feast for the senses. The floral arrangement of rajnigandha and mogra in brass urli was a beautiful ode to nature, infusing the decor with a sense of serenity and tranquility.

Details like ghungroo sticks instead of bells for guests to ring after every phera, wedding vows translation booklets for international guests, and rose petal cones added small, yet meaningful touches to the occasion. The entire setup embodied elegance and sophistication, and created a lasting impression on all those who witnessed it.

Reception
For the Reception, Team Nazara pulled off a grand feat of creativity by transforming the basketball court into a realm of elegance, combining the tradition and glamor of rani pink with the timeless beauty of ivory. Featuring an ivory jali cut backdrop with a lot of brass props with rani pink roses, rajnigandha, and mogra, and finished with crystal shamadaan, the stage was a visual treat.

The ivory jali work was also used throughout the food set up and bar for a subtle yet sophisticated touch, while the round tables with rani pink brocade and centerpieces of brass urli with traditional blooms created a beautiful contrast that was both pleasing to the eye and calming to the soul. Candles and exquisite crystal votives added a warm and inviting glow to the ambiance.

The photo op with mirror props, candles, and chandeliers created an engaging and captivating experience for the guests. Overall, the reception decor was a true reflection of Indian tradition and culture, executed with a modern twist that was sure to impress all those who attended with a skillful combination of color, texture, and lighting.
