Giving us a taste of the decor and sharing the concept behind the unconventional wedding mandap, Nandhini Srinivasan from The W Code shares, “Since the wedding venue was brimming with greenery, we decided to go in tandem with nature! Nothing’s dreamier than getting married under the shade of a tree, and thankfully the location had plenty of them. For the mandap, we chose a Mango tree and decorated it with numerous floral tassels that emanated fragrance in the air. We also added antique accents that resonated tradition and added a vintage charm to the union.”

For the spring April wedding, the color palette was dominated by white which struck a beautiful contrast with the surrounding lush greenery. With the duo hailing from the beautiful state of Kerala, classic decor elements like umbrellas, banana leaves, cane baskets and lotus-shaped diya holders were used across the space in combination with more modern elements like pastel blooms and gold arches. The resulting wedding decor was a fantastic combination of all things old and new basking in the lap of nature! Nandhini shares, “Greeshma looked stunning as she made a bridal entry flanked by her men’s squad to the mesmerizing sounds of the nadaswaram, and as Rahul saw her, he was choked with emotions.”

Following the charming wedding was an equally enthralling reception. Nandhini shares, “For the reception, we kept the decor minimalistic with a comfy velvet upholstered dusty rose-hued sofa that was backed by a gold floral arch. Later, the stage served as a dancefloor where everyone had a gala time shaking a leg. They also had a great time creating memories with polaroids while the guests waited for the couple to make their entry at the reception. The event ended with a sumptuous sadhya lunch where the guests were served festive delicacies on banana leaves.”
