Towering installations and a stunning play of lights made this couple’s sangeet a larger-than-life celebration!

Inspiring awe at every turn with its grandeur and innovative design themes, this destination wedding in Udaipur was all aces. Designed by WeddingSutra Favorite – Iskra Events & Celebrations, the union was high on energy and seamlessly fused the beauty of two cultures to form a warm union.

Birju Gariba from Iskra Events & Celebrations shares, “The client had a very short lead time to plan the decor for the wedding and the idea was to experience each location within the hotels which should awe the guests. After understanding their brief precisely, we crafted a mood board that was instantly liked by the couple.”

Kicking off the celebrations was the mehndi where the couple wanted a more modern look as Sunaina Singh from Iskra Events & Celebrations shares, “Right from the get-go the couple told us that they wanted the mehndi event to look contemporary. So, we created a European Afternoon Tea- Party where we filled the sky with pastel waves and the ground beneath with fresh spring florals. Big floral installations were used for her mehendi backdrop and fun corners to bring out the theme.”

Next in line was the Sangeet where glamour took a front seat. Birju shares, “The sangeet saw a mix of elegance and technology coming together! Metallic elements along with florals accentuated the evening while the right amount of drama with lights was created.”

The haldi paid tribute to the culture of Rajasthan while retaining the couple’s own cultural elements. Sunaina shares, “This afternoon saw numerous sunflowers and banana trees coming together. We needed to pay our tribute to Rajasthan and so we blended the art of the famous pottery in it and created a yellow paradise of fun and laughter.”

For the big day, all stops were pulled as a traditional setup was organized. Birju shares, “The wedding was a traditional evening. A grand floral mandap of roses and carnations mixed with the softness of tube roses and glistening candles crafted the vision the bride had for her big day. Everything on this day was chosen to match the softness of the blooms.”

Designing a series of grand events is never a cakewalk and team Iskra Events & Celebrations did face their fair share of challenges as Sunaina shares, “The venue was located on an island and the biggest challenge is to get the materials, props, flowers and all other decor elements to the resort via a barge. This was especially difficult as we had 30-45 truckloads of items. Thankfully, we persevered, planned and coordinated seamlessly to make it a success.”
