Highlights of the celebrations included topical discussions at the Masterclass, power networking with top officials of The Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts, delectable food preparations by the chefs of the Waterstones Hotel, and rapturous entertainment.

The evening commenced with talks by co-hosts Arindam Chakraborty, General Manager of Waterstones Hotel, and Parthip Thyagarajan, CEO of WeddingSutra.com, followed by an illuminating walkthrough of the hotel’s spaces, perfect for intimate wedding celebrations.

The by invitation Masterclass for brides-to-be saw expert talks by WeddingSutra Favorites- Wedding Planner Namha Malhotra of Castles and Coasters, Wedding Designer Varsha Sachdeva Shetty of The Petite Project, Photographer Shrey Bhagat of Knotting Bells, and Invitations & Stationery Designer Prashant Golani of Pragmatic Art.

Namha Malhotra spoke about the evolution of wedding celebrations and recent developments- as couples and industry players adapted to the changing social norms of events during the Pandemic. She spoke about the popularity of intimate and home weddings, and how extravagant celebrations can be created while maintaining safety regulations, sustainability, and optimum utilization of resources. She shared her thoughts on the future of luxury weddings in India as well, and the transition of intimate weddings from being a necessity to becoming the celebration everyone will wish for!

Prashant Golani shared key pointers one must take into consideration when designing their wedding invite. He shared interesting samples that illustrated how storytelling can be included in wedding invites based on the couple’s journey, wedding destination or whether it’s for an intimate celebration.

Varsha Sachdeva Shetty spoke about the rise of green weddings, sustainable celebrations, and how they can be achieved. She also spoke passionately about supporting local vendors and crafts, and how natural elements can be embraced in creating earthy, organic aesthetics.

Shrey Bhagat’s presentation on the evolution of wedding photography and current trends took the enthusiasm up a notch, with joyous portrayals of brides owning their wedding days, breaking molds of shy and coy stereotypes. He also shared the rising popularity of elevated and elegant bridal portraits, and Instagram reels.

The evening moved on to some memorable entertainment, with a spirited performance by Shanay Shah.
