With performances by leading musicians and striking decor this wedding saw the best of entertainment and aesthetics
Priyanka and Alok’s wedding displayed an array of nature-inspired themes; the events impeccably planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Prasang Events. On the days of the functions, the team worked alongside WeddingSutra Favorite – The HNL Desk, who ensured that the couple’s guests all felt at home and welcome at all times. Here are a few glimpses from their big day.
Priyanka and Alok’s wedding was a grand celebration. Sharing his vision behind their big day, Keyur Patel says, “Putting together this wedding was an exhilarating experience. We were working with tight deadlines and tried to come up with as many unique ideas as possible in order to give the couple the best. A wedding is such a special occasion and we wanted to ensure that Priyanka and Alok’s wedding was everything they had ever dreamed of. The process brought along a number of challenges, yet, we were able to overcome it all and give them and their guests a celebration that they would never forget.”
The color of turmeric ruled the haldi ceremony decor. Marigolds in yellow were complemented by orange blooms, accented by fresh foliage. The bridal seating featured a large panel of geometric designs, created using flowers. The occasion saw the couple’s nearest and dearest in attendance.
A vibrant palette of fuchsia, yellow, green and orange created a cheery mood at Priyanka and Alok’s mehndi. Marigolds, tassels, kitschy cushions, colorful chairs, striking table overlays and other charming details contributed to the event’s bright decor. A large stage stood at one end of the ballroom, with a patterned backdrop. Here, Gurdeep Mehendi performed with his group. His catchy dance numbers lured everyone onto the dance floor and ensured they had a great time. The event also saw a mojri station and a lac bangle making counter where guests could pick a wedding favor of their choice.
Steering away from the conventional floral designs, Prasang Events created a spectacular setup using lush foliage. The green theme was brought to life through the leaf- and fern-laden panels decorating the walkway that led guests to the venue, as well as the stage backdrop. The use of patterned-grey fabric and pink floral arrangements in blue vases elevated the elegance of the venue. The evening was brought to life with a performance by International Symphony, who entertained with their catchy tunes.
Priyanka and Alok’s sangeet was painted in shades of blue and turquoise, and soaked in the glow of yellow lights. The entrance featured large lamps on the sides as well as on the ceiling. Keeping with the musical theme of the evening, Prasang Events set up The Flute Mermaid, an audio-visual act, along the walkway to the venue. They arranged a performance by Amit Trivedi which left the guests stunned.
Inspired by mandala patterns, Priyanka and Alok’s wedding decor made use of an abundance of white blooms and diyas. The decor saw walls created using strings of tuberoses and a mandap featuring a tiered mandala backdrop with flowers in white, pink and red. Dharini Thakkar sang auspicious weddings songs, while Harish Bhimani recited the Vedic chants, translating them into Hindi and English.
