With WeddingSutra on Location- Priyanka Patil
Bridal Fashion and Beauty, WeddingSutra on Location - Oct 19, 2013
As part of our initiative ‘WeddingSutra on Location’, we invited four brides-to-be for a unique experience at Neeta Lulla’s Studio in Santacruz (West), Mumbai. Starting with a Style Consultation, a Makeover and a Photo shoot, each of the participants got to interact with some of the best names in Bridal & Wedding services.
Here in the first of the four-part series, bride-to-be Priyanka Patil, blogs about her experience with WeddingSutra on Location at Neeta Lulla.
“I’ve been reading about WeddingSutra on Location since the last few months and its great fun to read the experiences of the brides-to-be. After reading about it and seeing the pictures of the transformation, I wanted to experience it, so I wrote in and was thrilled to receive an invite for the next on Location at Neeta Lulla.
On the morning of the shoot, when I walked into Neeta Lulla’s studio, I was a little nervous and excited, maybe every girl feels similar when she’s going for a makeover. After I met the WeddingSutra team I was introduced to the three experts they had invited, Wedding Planner Neha Shroff, Makeup Artist Ojas Rajani and Candid Photographer Dev Purbiya. I first talked to Neha about the different wedding functions and based on my inputs, she recommended some options. After trying a few options, I decided to wear a creation from Neeta Lulla’s ‘Kanjeeveram collection’. An orange lehenga paired with a purple brocade choli, and an orange dupatta with a purple border. I loved the color combination, and its traditional yet contemporary look, it was the kind of outfit I’d love to wear for my wedding! I then accessorized my look with gold jewellery by Azva. Like the outfit, the jewellery pieces were traditional yet contemporary and I wore a long necklace and earrings with paisley motifs.
Next, was the makeup session with the super-talented Ojas. I’ve always loved her work, especially the way she does smokey eyes, so I requested her to do that for me. To enhance the look, Ojas gave me a soft and voluminous hairstyle.
Finally, it was Photo Shoot time with Dev Purbiya; a session full of smiles and laughter. I really liked the way he made me feel comfortable, and later when I interacted with him he shared some tips on what I should keep in mind while deciding on my wedding photographer.
While driving back I couldn’t stop thinking about the beautiful morning. Experiencing all this personally was even more enjoyable than reading it on the blog! Thank you WeddingSutra, this will be one of the most memorable days of my wedding planning journey!”
