Every girl dreams of a beautiful marriage proposal, and many men get sleepless nights planning the perfect proposal. Check out how Kishan popped the question to Arti in a magnificent and magical setting and planned everything without her getting a hint of anything.
How They Met
Teenage sweethearts Arti Tanna and Kishan Lakhani met and fell in love when they were 17. Their bond grew stronger over the years, and the couple decided to take things to the next level.
The Proposal
In January 2018, Kishan shared his New Year’s resolution of planning a ‘super date’ with Arti each month to amp up their romance. This allowed him to cleverly lay the foundation of his masterfully planned proposal. In January, he invited her on a private tour of the gorgeous Blenheim Place in Woodstock, UK. He also booked a table for lunch at The Orangery.
Arti got ready for the date, little knowing that her family, Kishan’s family, and their closest friends were in on the plan, and were awaiting their arrival in one of the staterooms to where the castle tour would head to.
Arti shares, “As soon as we stepped into the beautiful ballroom, I stopped, stunned! A gorgeous aisle of candles lit up the marble floors as a soulful voice sang and the melody of the piano filled the room. From the other end of the room, the huge oak wooden doors swung open, and our closest friends and family headed down the aisle in pairs carrying roses. I was speechless, and broke down in tears when my brother and mother entered the room.”
“Finally to my immense surprise, Kishan’s beloved grandmother, 87, entered and handed Kishan a small box with the ring. As the hit Bollywood track ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ played Kishan got down on one knee and popped the question. Powerful, emotional and beautiful, it was beyond anything I could have imagined. And as I tearfully nodded ‘Yes,’ there wasn’t a single dry eye in the crowd.”
