Describing the clients’ brief and how they went about with the planning process which included sifting through numerous venues, Bhavnesh Sawhney and Farid Khan from FB Celebrations share, “The client had envisioned an intimate wedding that would radiate warmth and authenticity. A gathering where every detail would be of heartfelt connections, shared moments, and a deep sense of togetherness. They perceived an ambience that would exude a comfortable elegance, with carefully chosen elements that reflected their personal journey and values. The focus was on creating cherished memories, where close family and friends come together in an intimate setting, celebrating love, joy, and the start of a beautiful new chapter.

We were looking for a venue not too far from Mumbai and Delhi. Consequently, we proposed Six Senses, Fort Barwara as the venue. This being different from the normal conventional venues or 5-star hotels, was the perfect blend of a luxurious and heritage destination.”

Hosted around the month of March which is marked by the festival of Holi, the wedding kicked off with a welcome party which was themed around the festival of colours. Farid shares, “The Welcome Party was extremely colorful exuding an almost carnival-like feel. The sunshine made the colours stand out and the stone exteriors of the venue cut a perfect contrast. Festooned canopies, striped tablecloths, multi-coloured chairs and garlands ensured guests felt refreshed after their flights.”

Next in line was the haldi which was, true to tradition, swathed in hues of yellow. Bhavnesh shares, “For the haldi, we used copious amounts of marigolds in creative setups. They were draped around trees, placed in vases and were even used as the backdrop for the couple’s seating. Sunflowers were also used alongside the marigold blooms. Overall, the atmosphere radiated warmth and positivity evoking a sense of unity and harmony.”

For the wedding, grandeur took the front seat as white and pastel hues dominated the decor palette. Blooms, like, jasmine, roses, lotuses and tuberoses were used while the furnishings were of a pristine white hue. To welcome the guests an arch decorated with baby’s breath roses decorated the entryway. And, as evening fell, the night was lit up by the glow of vintage lamps and candelabras.

Reflecting on their experience orchestrating the wedding Bhavnesh and Farid share, “As an intimate assembly, it was truly gratifying to engage with each guest individually, meticulously tending to every element and facet, ensuring an unforgettable occasion. In short, it was heartening to see that each guest immensely enjoyed the wedding and the entire experience that we had crafted. The wedding venues were all a part of Six Senses Fort Barwara itself. The Cortile Courtyard, The Step Well, The Zanana Lawn, and The State Room, every venue had its own unique charm and story to tell about its culture and history that gave each occasion a profoundly significant meaning”
