FB Celebrations crafted an entertainment-packed engagement ceremony for Rithwik and Pooja

Politician CM Ramesh’s son Rithwik Ramesh recently got engaged to Pooja Talluri, daughter of Raja Talluri, and the two-day celebrations took place in Ras-Al-Khaimah, UAE. The events were conceptualized, managed and executed by WeddingSutra Favorite – FB Celebrations. Another WeddingSutra Favourite – Food Inc by Yum Yum Tree presented mouth-watering cuisines on the table. Below are some highlights of the celebrations..
Venue and Planning
Pooja and Rithwik picked Waldorf Astoria in Ras Al Khaimah for their engagement. FB Celebrations, a luxury event management company, curated themes and designs for the occasion keeping the couple’s preferences in mind. Bhavnesh Sawhney, co-founder of FB Celebrations, shared, “For Rithwik and Pooja’s engagement, we brought together special elements like fun entries for the couple, sparklers, and fireworks during the exchange of rings, an eight-tier cake, amongst many other interventions which made the entire event an extravagant affair. We want to express our gratitude to CM Ramesh and his family for trusting us with the entire planning of their son’s engagement ceremony and would like to convey our best wishes to the couple and the families.”
CM Ramesh added, “We chose FB Celebrations, to plan and execute our son’s engagement ceremony. The ceremony was meticulously and beautifully planned by Farid, Bhavnesh, and their team. With attention paid to each and every minute detail; it was a very well curated and executed event.”
Pre-Wedding Functions
Mehndi
The mehndi had a bohemian vibe, and the couple entered to the beats of the dhol and color bombs. The highlights were acts by Wa(l)ter Drums who created an impressive visual effect with water splashing drums at the function followed by the guests dancing to the tunes of DJ Nitesh & Manoj. The duo looked stunning in color-coordinated yellow outfits. Pooja completed her look by picking a chunky necklace and earrings set with green stones matching with a gold waistband studded with green and white beads.
Sangeet
With an ‘Arabian Nights’ theme, the sangeet was a glamorous affair with enchanting decor. The evening saw Broadway-style performances by all the family members interspersed with voice-overs by Alladin’s characters narrating the couple’s love story in an Arabian tale. The guests enjoyed performances by the Hang Pan artists, Capriccio Band, belly dancers, juggling bartenders and fire breathers. The French trio, Paris House Addict, set the stage on fire with their performance, after which DJ Amann Nagpal rocked the night with his playlist.
Puja
All eyes were on the bride who entered under a traditional floral canopy held aloft by her loved ones. The couple dressed in traditional South Indian ensembles for this auspicious celebration.
Engagement
The ‘Black Tie’ dress code saw Rithwik wearing a navy blue tuxedo, while Pooja opted for a dusty-pink lehenga shimmering with sequins. The venue looked like a garden with fresh white and pink blooms. The couple made a grand entry with their friends holding sparklers and forming a tunnel under which the couple entered hand-in-hand. Their engagement had singer Sukhbir crooning all his hit numbers, and the Ember Trio band performing their medley of songs on the stage. DJ Amann Nagpal made everyone shake a leg. As soon as the couple exchanged rings, the fireworks were released and they made for a perfect backdrop. The couple then cut an eight-tier cake and popped champagne bottles in celebration. The highlight of the event was the gorgeous ice-sculpture at the entrance that had the initials of the couple carved on it.
