From grand wedding dreams to a home ceremony, Pranali & Zenith adapted their nuptials in line with the lockdown

Pranali and Zenith first met through their mutual friends and instantly knew that they were meant to be together. They decided to tie the knot after dating for a year and envisioned a grand five-day wedding in Mumbai in May. But, destiny had other plans as the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in strict lockdowns spread across the globe.

However, nothing could break the couple’s indomitable spirit as they quickly found a silver lining and took over the reins by acquiring all the necessary permissions to host an intimate wedding ceremony.

Capturing their special moments was WeddingSutra Favorite – Seventy By Two who shot the wonderful moments in evocative frames and created a treasure trove of memories that the couple will be able to relive for a lifetime.

When quizzed about her decision to go ahead with the wedding amid the lockdown and the challenges they faced, Pranali shared, “Zenith and I had always imagined a grand wedding celebration for ourselves and even had a five-day wedding in Mumbai on the cards. But, unfortunately, things did not work out in our favor as the lockdown was imposed and all our careful planning for a ‘big fat Indian wedding’ was disbanded.”

“However, we looked at things from a positive perspective and decided that we couldn’t miss a chance to be together during such uncertain times. Our preparations started just ten days before the wedding and we took all the necessary precautions and permissions before going ahead with our plans. With help from our family, we took the initiative to decorate the house ourselves with different fabrics, flower garlands, and fairy lights. And, since it was going to be an extremely close-knit function with only fifteen people on the guest list, I decided to wear one of my own creations which I’d designed for a smaller function as my original wedding outfit wasn’t ready.”

“My sisters also pitched in their support and helped me with my hair and makeup. Thankfully, our priest also lived nearby and he was able to come on board quite easily. The rest of our extended friends and family also joined in and shared our happiness via a Zoom call.

Now I’m looking forward to celebrating with all of them once the world is a safe place!”

Sharing her experience about working with the Seventy by Two team, the happy bride shares, “Seventy By Two captured every precious moment so beautifully. One would never think that they would be able to photograph such stunning shots in a home environment but they did! Everyone was extremely comfortable around them and the raw emotions shines through in each picture.”
