Highlights from Weddings Unveiled at Renaissance Mumbai
It had all the elements of a big, fabulous Indian wedding! Hosted by Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel at their scenic Powai property, ‘Weddings Unveiled’ was an experiential event that lifted the curtains on all the key elements that go into crafting the perfect celebrations.
From curated experience zones by top wedding decorators, fashion designers including Neeta Lulla and jewellery brands, as well as on-stage performances by Terence Lewis and his contemporary dance troupe, the event was packed with ideas, inspirations and information. The finale was a dazzling showcase of bridal creations by ace couturier Neeta Lulla. The event was crafted and curated by YouMe&We Xperiences.

Mr. Nicholas Dumbell, General Manager, Renaissance Hotel, played host to the stunning showstopper Pooja Hegde and celebrated personalities like Karim & Zara Morani, Scarlett Rose, Palak & Sammeer Sheth, Shamlee & Vipul Bhagat, Vickky Idnaani, Teena Singh, Lavina Israni, Manpreet Toor, Sunny Cheema, and many more. Celebrity host Nitinn Miranni kept the audience engaged with his quick wit and comic banter. It was nothing less in flamboyance than a top-end, big fat Indian wedding and had all the elements that this magnificent hotel can offer.
The Vidhi Mandap installation by The Wedding House displayed bridal collection by Neeta Lulla. Followed by National Decorators installation with a unique Mannequinn Bridal Baraat having a bride in a doli curated by You Me&We Xperiences and styled by celebrity stylist Esha Amin. The baraat was adorning the best of the season with designers Dolly J, Ritika Mirchandani, Nitesh Singh Chauhan along with jewellery by Joolry. For the Summer Bride decor set, the fashion was curated by Shubika of Papa Don’t Preach & installation by DreamzKrraft Wedding. The Haldi & Mehndi function décor was conceived by Synergy Events and fashion by MapxencarsRS. The Cocktail & Sangeet zone was crafted by The Bombay Decorators and fashion provided by designers Swapnil Shinde and Aasif Merchant in the forefront. The installation zones were glamorized with jewellery installations by OM Jewellers and Jhoomer Jewels.
The WeddingSutra Masterclass at ‘Weddings Unveiled’ saw a host of experts sharing their insights about various topics. They included Anand Rathi, top wedding photographer and founder of Reels & Frames, Jaydeep Bhuta, celebrity nutritionist and fitness consultant, Ranjani Iyengar, founder of wedding invitations company Pink Whistle Man, Dr. Karishma Vijan an Aesthetic & Restorative Dental Specialist, and Sejal Sachnakul, makeup artist and founder of Makeovers by Sejal.

The WeddingSutra Masterclass included five different sessions and each one focused on an important aspect that needs attention while putting together a wedding. Ranjani Iyengar, the founder of Pink Whistle Man, commenced the Masterclass with her talk on the trends influencing wedding invitations, eco-friendly alternatives to paper cards and her brand’s USP in creating stationery that offers aesthetic and intelligent appeal via humor, puns, and intricate detailing.
Steering everyone’s attention towards beauty was Sejal Sachnakul, international makeup artist and founder of Makeovers by Sejal. She gave bride-to-be Shreya Mehta a glamorous makeover at the event using products from Nykaa Beauty while the bride had her hair styled by Jean Claude Biguine. Sejal then went on to decode the look for everyone present. Through the session, the brides in the audience learned many handy tips and tricks to help them look and feel flawless on their big day.

Sharing an insider’s view of wedding photography was Anand Rathi, founder of Reels & Frames. As one of India’s leading award-winning lensman who covered Sonam Kapoor’s wedding in 2018 and the Ambani wedding in 2019, he offered valuable advice on what brides should keep in mind while choosing a photographer, ways to make the most of pre-wedding photo shoots especially at exotic destinations, and the rise in the popularity of video booths over photo booths.

Jaydeep Bhuta, a nutritional consultant specializing in fat loss and fitness, shared his weight loss journey. With help from noted scientists and health experts, he began his fitness consultancy, and today, his clients include many Bollywood celebrities. He informed brides about healthy ways to lose weight without compromising on their energy and vitality.
The day ended with a talk by Dr. Karishma Vijan, a Cosmetic & Restorative Dentistry expert. A bride’s smile is one of the most important aspects of her look, and Dr. Vijan shared details of various smile-enhancing dental procedures available today.
