Meet Aisha Rao – Hyderbad based designer known for her eclectic designs

We are spotlighting this young designer from Hyderabad whose work is a riot of colors. Aisha Rao studied design at Instituto Europeo Di Design, Barcelona; and sewing & garment construction at Parsons – The New School. Her primary aim is to create unique up-cycled luxury occasion wear. Aisha Rao’s lehengas are must-haves for every Indian bride who is aligned with millennial sensibilities yet yearning for tradition on her big day. Her designs are a melting pot of bright, eye-catching colors and traditional techniques such as appliqué and patchwork.
Her lehengas, sarees, and gowns feature exquisite embroideries in a color palette that spans peacock green, turquoise, bright blues to rust and maroon. Check out some of her eclectic designs here:
