Step up into a realm of elegance as you witness the magic of this Kerala Reception, planned by Eventia Event Designers, come alive in stunning shots by WeddingSutra Favorite – Magic Motion Media.
Hailing from an immensely influential family in Kerala, the groom sought to host a grand wedding Reception in his ancestral home and surrounding farmhouse. The festivities were to play host to over 3000 guests, and have in attendance numerous celebrities, ministers, and other notable personalities. Needless to say, the decor and setup had to be befitting of the scale and grandeur of the occasion. Team Eventia Event Designers rose to the occasion and crafted a captivating evening that harmoniously blended the regal ambiance of an Islamic celebration with opulence, and offered everyone an immersive experience.
Following a pre-wedding get-together and Sangeet, The Reception was poised to be a grand affair hosted amidst their family home that features lush green lawns, a central pond, and a 300-feet-long walkway, all of which was transformed for the occasion. The core idea was to create an evening that was classy, spectacular, and completely different from any of the prior events hosted by both sides.
Stepping away from color schemes, themes, and entertainment frequently witnessed in luxurious Muslim weddings in Kerala, blue was chosen as the focal color, serene yet celebratory at the same time. Dubbed the “Blue Mist”, the evening was conceptualized as dreamy and tranquil where the misty December night would play its part. There is always a sense of magic associated with misty blue skies, and the planning team used this to bring a sense of anticipation and thrill to what was going to be a truly magical night.
The guests were greeted by a walkway, with white neon arches and lanterns, that was flanked by beautiful flower gardens on both sides, to give them a feel of being transported to another world as they entered. Silver ribbons and white neon lights created depth to give the occasion a charming tone. The newlyweds arrived in a Mercedes that had once been used by the groom’s parents 30 years ago, making for a touching moment. As they descended and made their way to the stage amidst the mist and Lebanese rhythms, a video of memorable moments from the groom’s parents’ wedding was played on the LED screen. The evening was further elevated with an unplugged band, solo violin performances, cello players, and dancers, giving their guests a night they would never forget.
