Shreya Sen Photography Portrays Fierce Femininity with the Mon Cheri Photo Shoot

Dedicated to women who are modern, fierce and sensual, The Little Black Bow’s pre-fall destination line titled ‘Mon Cheri’ reveals sleek silhouettes, fluid fabrics and ingenious designs. Inspired by the charismatic mood that the collection conveys, WeddingSutra Favorite – Shreya Sen Photography creates a visual story where the bride is symbolic as a heroine who is a force on her own.

Artistic backdrops with a Middle-Eastern vibe complementing the designs make this shoot unique. The bride walks through corridors lined with Moroccan rugs, sits in corners decorated with traditional lamps, and pours herself a cup of tea with compelling confidence. Sharing her inspiration behind the shoot, Shreya says, “We wanted to portray a rebellious woman, the kind who has broken rules, written stories like ‘Dreams of Trespass,’ and is undaunted by anything that crosses her path. The idea was to create a Morocco-inspired set and direct poses that were almost nonchalant, yet strong, feminine, and sexy.”

Elaborating further on the muse and her story, Shreya adds, “She is someone who walks through the streets of Morocco, filled with storytellers, snake charmers, carpet sellers, and frankincense merchants. She is a cultural confluence in herself, and she stands between the traditional and modern worlds. However, no single thing defines her. You see her free and tall.”

The Mon Cheri collection offers a mix of colors alongside bright, neutral and shimmering textures. Each piece makes a bold statement. “This is a collection designed for women who don’t plant roots or feet. They’re free-spirited, wilful, and carefree gypsies who don’t quite grasp the concept of settling, who have stepped way away from confined boxes, who don’t wear sexy but are innately so, and unapologetic about it,” says Khushboo of The Little Black Bow.

The shoot offers reflections of orientalist painters like Fabio Fabbi and Eugene Delacroix. Shreya concludes, “This wedding season we hope that this photo shoot, this line, and this woman resonates with brides and her bridesmaids as well as with every woman who wants to wear their spirit on their sleeves, while they purr Mon Cheri.”
