For the couple, Thailand was the first and only choice as the duo shared their love for picturesque beaches and vibrant cities. Zill shares, “Zubin and I love travelling. Plus we love beach destinations. Initially, we did bounce around a short list of destinations but it quickly became obvious that only Thailand would do! The vibrant culture and stunning architecture contribute to making it an appealing destination.
Later, Zubin extended his trip with his boys and had an amazing bachelor at Ko Pha-ngan where he attended the famous full moon party and said bye-bye to his bachelor life.”

The pre-wedding photoshoot began at an easy pace as the couple freely explored the rich environs of Phuket. Giving us a quick overview of the destinations where they shot, Zill shares, “Our first shoot was at the Phuket Old Town which had brightly painted, century-old townhouses, it gave a very Portuguese colony vibe. On the second day, we went to The Big Buddha early in the morning and went to Chaithararam Temple to cover the cultural aesthetics. We felt so calm there looking at the carvings and the pagoda.

The third day was an adventurous one as we bathed the elephants at Lucky Beach in Tri Trang. After a few hours of break, we headed to our golden hour shoot at Ma Doo Bua with its irresistible background that has a stunning lotus pond and a long tale boat right in the middle of the pond for a perfect drone shot.

Next, the fourth day was at Phi Phi Islands where we hired a long tail boat for a day to take us around the islands surrounding the main island for a tranquil ocean view. And, the pictures were incredible with the turquoise water and white sands.”

The couple having learnt from their own experiences shares a few useful tips for to-be-weds hoping to conduct a pre-wedding photoshoot in Thailand.

– Research Locations: Explore various locations in Thailand that align with your preferences, whether it’s the beach, historic sites, or urban landscapes. Popular choices include Phuket, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Krabi.

– Local Photographer: Consider hiring a local photographer who knows the best spots and can capture the essence of Thailand. Look at their portfolios and reviews to ensure their style aligns with your vision.

– Weather Consideration: Be mindful of Thailand’s tropical climate. Check the weather conditions for your preferred time, and plan accordingly to avoid unexpected rain or extreme heat.

– Cultural Sensitivity: Respect local customs and traditions. Ensure that your attire and poses are culturally appropriate, especially if shooting in temples or sacred sites.

– Wardrobe Choices: Choose outfits that complement the chosen locations and consider the climate. Light, flowy dresses or smart casual wear often work well in Thailand’s settings.

– Timing is Key: Plan your shoot during the golden hours, early morning or late afternoon, for the most flattering natural light and atmospheric conditions.

– Backup Plan: Have a backup plan in case of unexpected weather changes. This could involve having indoor locations or alternative outdoor spots.

– Enjoy the Experience: Relax, be yourselves, and enjoy the process. A pre-wedding shoot is not just about the photos but also about creating lasting memories in a beautiful setting.
