A dreamy pre-wedding shoot in the heart of India’s capital city

Delhi based Priyanshi and Kush, leading hospitality professionals, were introduced by a common friend. After a year of courtship, the couple decided to get married. Kush is a Punjabi, while Priyanshi is a Jain but the couple overcame their cultural differences and ensured that their families were as excited about their upcoming wedding as they were.
Set to marry in October 2019, the two lovebirds didn’t travel far geographically but back in time for a spectacular pre-wedding shoot that incorporated some of Delhi’s lush environs and historical monuments. The pictures by WeddingSutra Favorite – ShutterDown are fantastic.
Here’s the bride sharing all the details of the shoot.
“Kush was very reluctant to have a prewedding shoot and I had a hard time convincing him. When he finally agreed, we decided we wanted something that was natural and classy. We also didn’t want to spend too much on the venue so decided on something that was close by.”
Fortunately, Priyanshi lives in an area that is a trove of fantastic backdrops. The bride-to-be says, “Jaypee Greens is the perfect locality for this sort of a shoot. It’s very close to where I live. We also went to Lodhi Gardens for some more pictures. I had a precise idea of what I wanted my pre-wedding photos to look like and ShutterDown’s team replicated my ideas perfectly. ”
A classy, minimalist aesthetic was maintained through the shoot, not just in their restrained posing but also in the bride-to-be’s wardrobe; a classic blue and white lehenga designed by a friend and a beautiful grey gown brought from Russia.
The glorious monuments of Lodhi Gardens and lush greenery of Jaypee’s Golf Course created a wonderful ambiance against which the couple could capture the lead up to the wedding. Sophisticated and stylish, the venues were the perfect canvas, highlighting the couple and their romance sharply in every frame.”
