Anish and Prerna’s Platinum Day of Love
Love Actually, Pre Wedding Photoshoots - Oct 30, 2018
Our initiative ‘Love Actually’ features engaged couples and captures beautiful moments between them. The series celebrates people in love as they start their lives together. Over a fabulous makeover and a photo shoot, we get these couples to share how they met, document the rare connection they have and talk about their day of love.
Anish and Prerna seem to have nothing in common except a heart-warming love story that unravels a mystic play of destiny. What’s meant to be will always find a way to be. Their love found a way through BBM!
The Blackberry Messenger may be a thing of the past for most of us, but we remember what it was like – the thrill of the notifications, the instant connect. Scrolling through his friend’s BBM contact list was when Anish first saw Prerna. He instantly felt something for her and sent her a request, however, his request was left unaccepted. (Not for long though!)
He resigned himself to the story ending there except….
A few months later, he saw her again! And this time, at a college fest! There she was, that same smile, those bright eyes. Soon after sharing a conversation, his unanswered request was accepted with a smile! Remembering the moment, Anish says, “Just like a tiny spark can spread wildfires, an 8-character number led to endless conversations for us! It didn’t take time for me to identify my feelings for her. I knew she was the one. But given her dedication towards her studies, it took her 3 long years to realize I’d been waiting!”
They say opposites attract, Anish and Prerna prove them right. “He is everything that I’m not and I’m everything that he isn’t. Like two pieces of a puzzle, we complete each other.” His parents were as nonplussed. Prerna smiles as she says, “They couldn’t believe the fact that their notorious son was head over heels for a book lover like me!”
Prerna explains her hesitation, “I didn’t want love getting in the way of my studies. But three years later, his feelings hadn’t changed. I knew I’d be lying if I said I felt nothing in terms of reciprocation. So I gave in to his steadfastness and decided to give it a shot. Today when I look back at that time, I see myself making the best decision of my life!”
Anish says, “I got the ‘Yes’ I’d been waiting for but soon after, I had to leave for the UK to pursue PG studies. Given this long distance, our ship may have drifted into stormy waters but it was smooth sailing. Words can’t express my feelings for her. Maybe if you had to make tangible, things like delicacy and preciousness, you could do it with Platinum Love Bands. As strong and unique as our bond, Platinum, I believe the best way of expressing my feelings; and today, I am elated to share this unique token of togetherness with her!”
As the couple lived their Platinum Day of Love, makeup artist Saakshi Takiar flawlessly used her brushes to have them camera ready through the day. Capturing their candid moments from behind the lens, DM Official Shots highlighted the unique bond shared by the two. And lastly, to tie the shoot together, Jalandhar Jewellery house brought some of their stunning pieces crafted in platinum.
Hand in hand across the colorful stretch of the Lodhi Art District, here’s a walk to remember!
“I’m so glad we are spending a day out together”, says Prerna.
“Remember how you tried to keep me away?” Anish jokes.
“Yes! I know and I’m sorry,” she says. “I’m zen about it now,” says Anish.
“And that’s why I love you – for staying steadfast and true!”
“As do I, my pretty little nerd!”, exclaims Anish.
They brought to life the stunning art with some awe-inspiring poses!
“Ok now, I think they’ve had enough of these bizarre clicks!”
From the wackiest to the cutest, they truly are two pieces of the perfect puzzle.
“You’re my favourite at any given day; in your eyes you’re holding mine…”
“P.S. I love his stupid jokes as well but this shall remain a secret forever!” Prerna confesses.
Anish suddenly disappears and Prerna strolls around, searching for him.
She looks around for him and is just about to give up, when she turns around and finds him on one knee.
Overwhelmed with a sea of emotions, she smiles! Can you guess her answer?
Of course, she said, “Yes”!
“Let me guess, was this the thing ruling your mind since morning?” she asks.
With a hint of smile he answers, “Yes, I couldn’t wait to seal our bond with these stunning Platinum bands.”
It started with a chance encounter and now these polar opposites have found their precious connect.
Something old, something new, something as unique as the two, Platinum sealed their bond for eternity.
As they promised each other a lifetime of new memories, they shared nostalgic smiles at the café where they met for the first time. What started with coffee, begins a new phase lined in platinum.
