The majestic Leela Palace in Udaipur, opened its gates for a pre-wedding photoshoot that epitomized modern royalty with a big dose of fun!
How we met
I work as an IT consultant in Chicago and met my wife Bhoomi Patel, a Research Assistant, through an arranged marriage setup. But things changed when I met her. It felt like I had known her for years. We instantly connected on a spiritual level and while there was no formal proposal, I inherently knew that ‘she was the one’ and luckily, she felt the same too! We continued our long-distance relationship through phone calls and Skype, and after a year decided to get married.
Our Pre Wedding Photoshoot
We’d always wanted a pre-wedding photoshoot and had even made a list of all the photographers that would suit our requirements. Finally, after much research, we zeroed in on Preach Art. We thought Chanakya was the best person to realize our vision of a regal-themed photoshoot with a touch of crazy.
The shoot was not as easy as we’d imagined it would be. There were lighting issues and personal challenges as I was quite camera conscious. But Chanakya was a thorough professional and helped us at every point of the shoot. He helped me feel comfortable and had some amazing ideas that helped me loosen up. The sprawling surroundings of the Leela Palace Hotel in Udaipur just added to the magnificence and fun.
We also shot at Badi Lake, and it was a unique experience – we shared some romantic moments there and they’ve been captured beautifully. We shot in a shikaara and a rickshaw which was quite fun. We even had our hair and makeup done by professionals which made us feel like absolute celebrities.
Chanakya ensured that each picture celebrated our happiness, which is very evident in each of the lovely pre-wedding photographs.
