An Enchanted Garden Engagement Designed by The A-Cube Project
A love story that is nothing short of a fairytale deserves a celebration that is just as magical. Chetan and Shruti were introduced by their families but sparks flew as soon as they saw each other. “It was an instant connection and we spoke for hours,” said Chetan.
Spellbound, they decided to get married and hosted a grand, enchanted garden inspired, engagement planned by WeddingSutra Favorite The A-Cube Project. The celebrations at the ITC Grand Chola, Chennai were captured by Mayur Tekchandani of Capturing Emotions Production.
An ornate, palatial tribute to one of Southern India’s greatest empires – the Imperial Cholas – the hotel made for the perfect venue for their magnificent ceremony. The A-Cube Project, an innovative event design company, wove a theme and style that told Chetan and Shruti’s guests their unique story.
The idea began with conjuring up a magical green escape in the ballroom. With both, larger than life, sparkling features and minute, floral detailing, the team covered all aesthetic bases. A park bench waited for the gorgeous couple to sit on stage, an oversized bouquet as the backdrop. A large gold installation suspended from the ceiling in the middle of the banquet hall was easily one of the most unique decor elements guests would have been privy to. The structure looked like confetti frozen in time, heightening the celebratory atmosphere and adding to the sense of enchantment.
The guests were seated at round tables adorned with spiraling floral centerpieces. On the periphery of the hall, rectangular tables were set up under charming overhead décor. True to the theme, flowers and leaves were used in abundance and candles were brought in to lend a warm glow.
The breathtaking setup had the couple awestruck. Shruti said, “The A Cube Project did a marvelous job! They went to such great lengths to understand what we wanted for the ceremony. All the little details, from the one-line quotes on the sides of the stage to the writings on the tables, were their initiative. The beautiful life-sized bouquet of my favorite white roses was very impressive and the attention to detail brilliant. They made us a part of the entire experience by asking us what we liked, what we wanted and turned the story of how we met into this beautiful celebration.”
