Priyal and Saumil’s Platinum Day Of Love
Love Actually, Pre Wedding Photoshoots - Apr 2, 2019
Our initiative ‘Love Actually’ features engaged couples and capture beautiful moments between them. The series celebrates people in love as they start their lives together. Over a fabulous makeover and a photo shoot, we get these couples to share how they met, capture the rare connection they have and talk about their day of love.
They say love can come knocking at your door when you least expect it to, but when it does, would you be able to recognize it? What if it came in dancing?
A mutual friend was getting married and Saumil and Priyal, strangers until that moment, were assigned to each other as dance partners. They matched steps. Sparks flew. That easy, instant connection turned into a steadfast friendship.
Their shared interests and values made their relationship seem a little different from the other relationships in their lives. Priyal believes in destiny and had an inkling that her special bond with Saumil was meant to be. As the years went past, she began to acknowledge that he was perfect for her – her partner in crime, secret keeper, 2 a.m. personal adviser, this was not just a best friend but the love of her life! It was a relationship that was so magical she’d only seen it in films and read about it in books. This was the man she loved.
Three years into being there for each other, Saumil was hit by a similar realization. This precious bond he shared with Priyal was unique and special. They weren’t just friends. They were soulmates!
He organized the perfect alibi– a trip out of town with a bunch of friends – and they headed to a holiday home in Palghar, near Mumbai, where he asked and she said yes.
This moment marked the beginning to their forever… and the start of the wedding prep!
As the preparations for the wedding gained momentum, the two were far too busy for their own liking and Saumil wanted Priyal to take a breather. So he decided to treat his fiancee to a special brew and also planned a surprise that would unite them with precious bands of love.
It was time to introduce another moment to cherish into their lives. An extraordinary gift that not only represents eternal love but would also symbolize his feelings and intentions in their truest sense. Wearing matching platinum bands would remind the other that they truly complete each other.
Excited, Saumil whisked his bride-to-be away for what he told her was going to be a quick lunch date. Priyal agreed immediately unaware that she would be presented with bands of love perfect for their precious relationship.
To take a break from the hectic prep, the couple had a few pints and played some Jenga because love is all about balance! Right?
“Bottoms up?”, nudges Saumil
Unaware of the romantic proposal about to happen, Priyal goofs around with Saumil.
As Saumil waits excitedly, Priyal downs her pint…
… and there it is! Priyal finds a ring as she reaches the bottom of her glass.
“You are my second player forever”, says Priyal.
Slipping those beautiful bands on immediately preserved in amber some precious memories.
This bond is as precious as platinum…
Saumil and Priyal got a chance to add this Platinum Day of Love to their growing bouquet of perfect memories.
Makeup artist Megha Kothari flawlessly worked her magic on bride-to-be Priyal and got her looking effortlessly stunning and camera-ready through the day. From behind the lens, Rangresa Pictures captured some of the most candid and beautiful shots highlighting the natural chemistry and the unmistakable bond that Priyal and Saumil share. And bringing the shoot together was Popley whose striking platinum bands are crafted to perfection.
