Our initiative ‘Love Actually’ features engaged couples and captures beautiful moments between them. The series celebrates people in love as they start their lives together. Over a fabulous makeover and a photo shoot, we get these couples to share how they met, document the rare connection they have and talk about their day of love.
Aayushi and Saurav were classmates at Law School, in Delhi. One day, Saurav sat next to Aayushi for a lecture. Overcoming his own shyness, the two began to talk. It only took a few moments for them to realise this was the beginning of their forever. Two souls with an instant connect, Aayushi likes to say, “From that day till this day, he has always been by my side.”
Every conversation meant the two understood each other better. Aayushi remembers, “We just knew that we were perfect for each other from the first time we spoke. There was this click! He is quite shy and doesn’t express his feelings easily. There was never a proposal but we never needed one. It was obvious our feelings were mutual and as they say, when you know, you just know.”
The bond the two share was strong to begin with and has been only strengthened further. Aayushi says, “Both of us believe one of the most important pillars of a successful relationship is having a common vision of the future. This commonality was the reason we were attracted to each other. We wanted to bring added value to this world, have our own little business(es), travel and see the world, create art, have a family, continue to be a little crazy and unconventional in the way we do things and the way we live our lives. We were attracted to each other’s weirdness and to this very day that spark and attraction continues. He calms my chaos and I fuel his fire.”
The little quirks that initially spurred their relationship forward became complementary interests that enhanced their romance and paved the way for experiences that they’d cherish forever. Love at first sight doesn’t happen often. These two soulmates didn’t take anything for granted. Fate may have brought them together but spending the rest of their lives in tandem was a conscious choice they made.
With a wedding slated for the end of the year, Saurav wanted to do the one thing that Aayushi has accepted he’s not very good at – expressing his feelings!
It was a challenge for him at many levels. Planning the moment and gearing himself up for what it would take. He began in the safest place for love – common ground. The two love exploring new places and so Saurav chose Dilli Haat – a bustling market with stalls representing all the diverse traditions and places in India.
He knew, with his bride by his side, the vibrancy of the venue, with its art and culture, would be the perfect ambience for what he had in mind. And to celebrate their bond – he wanted the perfect ring. Understated like him, glowing like her, one of a kind, like their love.
A platinum band of love it would be!
Gilding this new chapter in their lives with platinum seemed apt beyond measure. A gift that Aayushi would remember for years to come, like love, it would never go out of style. Wearing these bands would remind them both of how it all began – with so much surety and how they both resonate with each other’s ideals.
One sunny summer morning, Saurav let Aayushi lead him through the bright, beautiful bustle of Dilli Haat.
Every bylane offered a new vista of sights, sounds and aromas from all over their world.
It was a journey of discovery and for some reason, it made Aayushi nostalgic, “This vibe makes me feel alive, just like the first time I met you.”
The two began goofing around, looking at what was on offer, rummaging through the wares, finding each other, over and over.
Saurav however was hoping to find the perfect instant to propose.
Cupid may have had a bow, he may have had a catapult! Saurav decided not to wait to find out.
For Aayushi, a public proposal by her ‘less expressive’ better-half was twice the surprise!
All of Dilli Haat stood still for one precious moment as Saurav went down one knee and asked Aayushi the platinum question, “Will you marry me?”
“YES,” squealed Aayushi. As simple as that.
A bond to be sealed by Platinum Love Bands.
“YES,” squealed Aayushi. As simple as that.
Aayushi and Saurav vow to nurture their wonderful relationship with every step they take…
… their solemn, sacred promise symbolised perfectly by the most precious of all, platinum love bands.
Working her magic on bride-to-be Aayushi was makeup artist Vandana Dubey who enhanced her natural features, keeping her camera-ready through the day. From behind the lens, Nitin Arora Photography captured some of the most beautiful shots highlighting the chemistry and unique bond Aayushi and Saurav share. And bringing the shoot together was Gandaram and Sons Jewellers whose striking platinum bands are crafted to perfection.
